the single best BACK exercise that no one does today

If you have only 1 exercise to build your whole back, you should do the Gironda Pull-Up.

It’s not some random gym bro that’s saying it, but it’s Vince Gironda, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s best trainer.

FYI, Vince is the one who taught the first Mr. Olympia until Lee Haney; that’s how big a person he is. He’s basically the GOAT’s teacher.

And, as a good teacher, Vince passed what he thinks is the greatest back exercise (Gironda pull-up) to his student.

Which included Robby Robinson, Franco Columbu, Arnold, Frank Zane, Sergio Oliva, and basically almost every golden era bodybuilder.

They did them… and the result? They built the greatest back of all time.

And so… if you lack back thickness and width, you better do this one exercise.

But, remember that in the title of this mail, I said no one today did the Gironda pull-up?

Yeah… I tried doing this exercise; I couldn’t even get 1 perfect rep, because this exercise was HARD! (Everybody at any level will have a hard time to doing this exercise.)

And because it’s hard, it’s so effective for developing that wide and thick cobra back!

It is hard, because the Gironda pull-ups require you to do your regular with your chest touching the bar.

And, if you take a look at the movement, the Gironda pull-ups combine two movements that the back does: vertical pull (where you get from pulldown), where it creates the width, and horizontal pull (row movement), where it creates the thickness.

And so… if you combine these movements, you get a complete back development.

You’ll get crazy THICK back and COBRA WIDE back.

This is why you should include Gironda pull-ups in your routine.

You can start with assisted bands or in lat pulldown if you don’t have the strength yet, and then build your strength up so you can do Gironda pull-ups.

That’s it for today.
