I was just watching some fancy home gym tour that literally cost 100x my net worth,
And I found these type of comments:
“This machine should be in every gym”
“I really hope that machine is in my gym”
Alright… I know that machine costs $10k…
But, what if I told you that $10k machines are worse than a barbell and a pair of dumbbells.
This is not something that I made up or something gimmicky…
But every golden era bodybuilder agree that free weights are better than machines, and machines is kinda dangerous.

Notice… Arnold said he is really fortunate. He is very lucky because he did those basic exercises.
Because Arnold knew something…
This is the perfect way to train heavy without getting injured.
And this is why everybody in the golden era rarely gets injured… because they prioritize free weights.
Free weights allow your joints to dictate the movement, specifically on compound exercises.
On a machine, the machine dictates your joints.
I can’t imagine doing bench press in a machine, where many joints have their own ‘safe direction’ and now forced to some direction that is not safe for them.
And it’s not only happen to me…
Lee Haney 8x Mr. Olympia ever tried an incline bench machine, and what happens immediately is he hears this ‘popped’ from his shoulder, and he never train with that machine.
And here’s a fun fact…
Arnold only use 5 machines in his entire workout program…
Arnold only use machines only after he finished with his compound exercises…
Never, never make machines as your primary exercises.
Golden era guys only use machines for 2 purposes:
