There are only 3 exercises that are called ‘upper body squats’

Out of 22 000 exercises in the world, there are only 3 exercises that is labeled as ‘the upper body squats’

Why they labeled it like that?

Because, if you just go heavy on them even without compound exercises, then you would be a great physique.

But here’s the thing….

Don’t expect this exercises to be those ‘optimal stable exercises’ that you can only find in $10k machines…

But, instead the upper body squats exercises are actually the most simple exercises.

Because Those 3 upper body squats are dips, pull ups and barbell/dumbbell pullovers.

The first 2 upper body squats; dips and pull ups have been shown to develop muscular upper body, this is why when you see calisthenics athlete that basically only do pull ups and dips, they have a great physique.

Btw… this guy is Ian barseagle, and he only did 2 exercises; weighted pull ups and dips.

And it’s not only me that said it, but…

‘Dips is the best pec exercise in the world, the best delt exercise in the world and the best triceps exercise in the world’ – Mike Mentzer

‘It’s the only way to really up those wings’ – Arnold on why he did pull ups.

And if you see the backs of the backs from the golden era, they will include pull ups in their back workout.

But, we forget one exercise the dumbbell pullover.

I mean people skip this exercises, science based lifters said it’s c tier exercises.

But, silver era bodybuilder describe dumbbell pullover as magical.

Because no other exercises can do what the pullover do.

The dumbbell pullover has a benefit to expand your ribcage. And never underestimate ribcage expansion…

Because that’s literally the reason Arnold has the best chest of all time.

See how  Arnold’s chest is lifted up compared to the second pictures.

Arnold’s ribcage is so expanded that it lifts Arnold’s chest up creating that powerful look, while Phil Heath just like crunching his chest.

So to summarize, there are only 3 upper body squats: dips, pull ups, and pull over.

Do them, and never skip them.
