“This is why I always smiled when I was in the gym. People always came up to me and said, “Why are you smiling? You’re working out 5 hours a day. You’re doing the same as the other guys, but the other guys have a sour face, they’re pi**ed off that they have to do another rep.” I looked forward to another 500 pounds of squat. I looked forward to doing more and more curls until my arms [would] fall off. Why? Because I knew that every rep that I did and every set that I did and more weights that I lifted, I get one step closer to turning that vision into reality.”
– Arnold Schwarzenegger
The reason why most of you read this newsletter is because you’re not motivated, you’re skipping workouts, or even cheating on your diet.
You want to change that sh*tty routine, but you can’t.
You’ve tried it over and over, and the result is still the same, you’re stucked in that old routine.
Or maybe you’ve heard those motivating tips from those fitness influencer and it still doesn’t work.
If you think you’re that person, you’re in the right place.
Because in this newsletter, I’ll give you 3 hacks (if you want to call it) that makes Arnold hitting gym consistently for over 50+ years (“Even in his 70s—when he couldn’t grow muscle anymore, only lose it—he kept training.”)
“To have a clear vision is to have a picture of what you want your life to look like and a plan for how to get there.”
– Arnold
Everything starts with vision.
Vision is the reason why you want to do something.
It something that drives you to work, to eat healthy food, even to go to the gym.
But not everyone has a clear ‘why’, and that’s is the main reason you fail to be consistent.
For example, it’s the first day you go to the gym, you don’t know anything about working out.
Then you see people do bench press, and because they do it, you do it too.
But, when you do the bench press, you don’t know how to do it correctly, you don’t know what muscles that are working, etc.
But if you even don’t know about working out, but you’re really want to have big chest.
So now, you have a vision, that is to have a big chest.
Then this vision will guide you.
You will search chest workout on youtube, how to do bench press correctly, etc.
And at the end of the day, you’ll get big chest.
You must think about it first, then you can go to the second hack.
There is one quote by Arnold that changes my view on getting consistent.
The reason why Arnold is so consistent is not by trapping and torturing himself in a jail, like you’ve been told.
You can’t drink alcohol, you can’t eat cheesecake, and so on.
Here is a quick fun fact for you:
I’m not saying that you should eat cheesecakes all day, but what I’m saying is removing shitty routine won’t make you progress.
The only thing that makes Arnold closer to his goals is focusing on his desire.
Think about this.
If you hate working out, you hate eating healthy, how in the world you can be consistent to do those things?
How can you be consistent doing something you hate?
The way Arnold approach consistency is to work hard to achieve those goals.
So that’s the reason when Arnold eats healthy, go all out in the gym, workout for hours, he was happy.
He knew that all of that effort will give the body that he envision – ripped – muscular and jacked.
So shift your focus from torturing to achieving
Maybe you think because I’m selling Framed Quote of Arnold Schwarzenegger, so I recommend this.
But it was actually the reason I made the product.
“I plastered the walls with pictures of Reg Park and other bodybuilders. I looked at them for motivation.”
– Arnold Schwarzenegger
It is Arnold’s ultimate hacks to just hangs 10s of his idol’s quote and photos, and everytime he wakes up, and he sees that photo, there is no way he betrayed his idols.
He will craves to go the gym every single day.
I suggest to hangs at least 1 big-sized framed quotes, and 2 smaller ones.
But, it’s okay to start with small-sized framed quotes, and if you feel motivated everyday, which you will, go but another one.
Here’s my favorite:
