High volume training is not for everyone…

I just watched science based lifting god Jeff Nippard about high volume training…

And he said that in the research high volume will create the most growth.

Which I kinda don’t agree…

But, here’s the thing it’s not that high volume is not good…

But that high volume doesn’t simply equal to more muscle growth.

More volume = more stimulus.

And that more stimulus doesn’t equal more growth.

Take Tom Platz for example, he only squatted 4 sets per 2 weeks.

That doesn’t mean if Tom Platz squatted 10 sets a week he will grow his legs bigger.

So what does it tell you?

Stimulus only can become muscle when it recovers.

And so, if you ask beginners to do 20 sets per muscle group per week,

They will quit.

It’s simply too hard and intense.

They can’t recover (there are literally beginners who need 1 week to fully recover)

So, what we can conclude is that

Train hard and recover harder.

Train more and recover more.

And here’s a tip

The only way to know when your body has recovered is to listen to your own body.

Don’t train when you are sore!

That’s it.
