There is one method that is described as ‘magical’ by the silver era bodybuilders, that is 20-rep squat.
I mean, if the greatest natural bodybuilders said it’s magical, then it’s magical.
They said this because the 20-rep squat can literally ‘hack’ your genetics.
Silver era bodybuilders claimed that this method can widen your frame by 4 inches (excluding your shoulder training).
This can happen because this method expands your ribcage, and the ribcage will push your clavicle out and make it wider.

The left side is Reg Park, and the right side is Jeremy Ethier (no hate to Jeremy)
Reg Park has an almost horizontal ribcage, and as you can see, his ribcage pushes his shoulder out, making it look wider.
Now take a look at Jeremy Ethier (the right guy); his ribcage is so sunken that his chest flattens out, and his shoulder doesn’t get any wider.
Other important benefits also exist; if you practice 20-rep squats, you will have a square, proud-looking chest like Reg Park, and you can breathe deeper, which leads to better force production.
This is how the 20-rep squat was done. Pick a weight that you can do for 10 reps, then after the rep number, you take 2 – 10 deep breaths. As you go with more reps, you need to take more deep breaths. Then after you do the 20-rep squat, immediately do light 20-rep breathing pullover (across the bench)
