How to maximally widen your frame (5 inches wider)

Everybody that works out wants to achieve that V taper and that X frame.

And so, one of the most important to achieve these two is having broad shoulders.

There are 2 things that make your shoulder broad:

• Clavicle length
• The size of your shoulder.

People in the fitness industry always said that clavicle length is unchangeable because it’s genetic, and you just have to focus on getting big shoulders.

But what if I told you that you can sort of widen your clavicle length?

I am not lying here… Silver era bodybuilders and golden era bodybuilders used this ‘method’ to gain 2 – 4 inches wider (excluding their shoulder size).

This method is called ribcage expansion.

Ribcage expansion doesn’t lengthen the bones of your clavicles, but it expands the ribcage.

Try to breathe as deeply as possible and see if you’re getting wider or not.

Now if you’re getting wider, it’s because of your ribcage expanding; the more it expands, the wider you get.

The only way you can expand your ribcage is by doing dumbbell pullovers and breathing really heavy.

Silver and golden era era bodybuilders used to do dumbbell pullovers at the end of chest workout. 

Arnold went up until 100 lbs dumbbell pullover for reps! 

“I firmly believe that doing pullovers for a number of years increased the size of my rib cage and kicked me toward that 57-inch mark.”

The other thing that they did is to superset dumbbell pullovers with 20-rep breathing squats. 

The idea behind it is that your breathing muscles got activated after a heavy set of 20 reps of squats; you stretch them down, and by that you have expanded your ribcage.

Steeven Reeves believed that it can make you 2 – 4 inches wider by doing pullovers alone. 

With shoulder development, you might increase 6 – 8 inches of width.

So, if you start with 14 inches of shoulder width before you start working out, you might end up in the 20-22 inch range.

So, if you want to get wide, do pullovers.
