The forgotten upper-body squat that no one did.

Squat is the best exercises for your lower body.

If you master the squat and go heavy at it, you’ll have the biggest legs in the world.

I mean… See Tom Platz; he did 500 lbs for 40+ reps, and he got the best legs of all time.

But what if I told you that there is one exercise that is called the ‘upper body squat’ by

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger
  • Franco Columbu
  • Basically every golden-era bodybuilder
  • And every silver-era bodybuilder who has the physique you dreamed of as a kid.

But here’s the thing…

Nobody today did this one exercise and by doing that, they just skip a lot of gains.

And so if you don’t want to skip these gains, like 99% of people, you might do this exercise.

Because the ‘upper body squat’ that we are talking about is dumbbell pullover, specifically dumbbell pullover across the bench (not lying)

The dumbbell pullover is so great because it doesn’t only train your lats, serratus, and, of course your shoulder mobility, but it also expands the ribcage (and no other exercises can expand the ribcage)

“I firmly believe that doing pullovers for a number of years increased the size of my rib cage and kicked me toward that 57-inch mark.” – Arnold.

Now see this picture; on the left side is a modern bodybuilder that did nothing for his ribcage. And what happens is his chest looks sunken, looks smaller, and looks less powerful.

Now see the right side, which is Arnold Schwarzenegger. See how Arnold’s ribcage is so expanded that his chest was so lifted up to make that proud look.

Keep in mind here that the modern bodybuilder here is 60 lbs heavier than Arnold, but which chest do you prefer? The sunken one, or the proud chest built by the dumbbell pullover.

And it doesn’t stop here…

Look at how classic Frank Zane looks in this picture.

The dumbbell pullover creates that deep vacuum, making the waist small, and also creating that serratus muscle.

And one thing people always miss about the ribcage expansion is that it increases your width.

Some people got 2 – 4 inches wider after a few months doing dumbbell pullovers.

You can include dumbbell pullovers after your back or chest day.

Or you can do it like a silver-era bodybuilder that supersets it with 20-rep breathing squats.

I guarantee that if you don’t do this exercise, you’ll regret it.
